Microbreweries, or “Craft Breweries” as we like to call them, are popping up all over the U.S. At Blind Squirrel, we can produce 20-60 gallons of specialty beer daily.

As you participate in a one of a kind brewing experience you will gain expertise on producing quality microbrews. Brewer Aaron Maas will show you everything you need to know from milling the grain to adding the right hops so that you can head home with your own brew. Lets brew!

BREWERY PROGRAM

Our one-day brew sessions are perfect for locals and daytrippers.  Join us every Sunday to learn all the steps to craft quality microbrews while enjoying light snacks and hor’dourves and relaxing in between pouring the malt and checking the score on the big screen.  It’s a hard life, but someone has to do it.

This brewery experience requires four brewers with a five brewer maximum.  Each brewer may bring one guest that is invited to participate in all aspects of the experience.  Once you get your group together, just decide what variety of brew you would like to make by choosing from our list of options (only one variety per session).

Your session will leave you with excitement as you take your brew home to ferment and await bottling.

When are are these sessions offered?
Our local sessions take place every Sunday from 1:00-6:00 p.m. here at the Toe River Lodge & Blind Squirrel Brewery.

What is included?

Light hor’deourves upon arrival and dinner to be served at 6:00 p.m. that consists of a variety of casseroles, baked ham, and prime rib from our locally famous Sunday Brunch.

Materials:

Everything you need to bottle/keg your brew will be included in your first session and will not be required for subsequent sessions.

Choose one of the bottling/keg options.

All for the low price of:

First Session....... $235 per brewer
Guest is included with price.  Choose option 1 or 2

Subsequent Sessions ....... $120

Includes dinner for two and five gallons of beer

This is is a very low price for a quality crafted microbrew.  Factor in $40 for dinner and you are paying $2.00 per pint!

*Payment is due at the time of booking and is 50% refundable up to ONE WEEK prior to your session.

Pay a one time fee before your first session for one of the following:

• Option 1: Bottles
• 5 gallon glass carboy*
• bottle capper
• 40 pint sized bottles
• 40 bottle caps

*Use your own 12 oz. bottles (60) or pints (40) to reduce price by $40
