Vance Toe River Lodge & Lodge Campground Lodging, Pet, &  Cancellation Policies

 

IMPORTANT TERMS

 

  • Deposit amount is equal to the cost of your first night's stay for one & two night stays.  For 3 night to one week stays, the deposit amount is equal to 30% of your total reservation.  Stays longer than one week will require a 30% prepaid deposit. This will be held until the time of your arrival.

 

 

  • All cancelled reservations are subject to a $10 processing fee.  "In Season" Reservations may be cancelled with no additional penalty to the guest up to two weeks prior to your stay. Cancellations occurring 7-13 days prior to arrival will be charged ½ deposit. Cancellations within one week forfeit entire deposit. If your reservation slot can be filled, there will be no charge incurred.  For groups renting 5 or more rooms there is a non-refundable one night deposit that will be paid at the time of cancellation if said cancellation occurs.  There is a 24 hour grace period for group lodging from the time of making your reservation to make changes or to cancel without cancellation penalties.

 

 

  • "Off Season" Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of ½ of your total that is to be paid at the time of reservation with the balance due upon arrival.

 

 

  • Accepted payment forms include cash, travelers check, money order, & credit card. A 2% finance charge will apply to any payment made by credit card.

 

 

  • We regulate an interiorly smoke & pet free environment.

 

 

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECK-IN

 

  • Parking is available on-site. Each rental will include parking for one vehicle unless otherwise specified. Extra parking may be arranged in advance for a nominal fee.

 

 

  • Check-in is after 3:00pm and before 9:00pm. Late check-in must be arranged in advance and is only available until 11:00pm. There will be a $10 fee incurred per hour past 9:00pm for late check-in.  Late check-in is not permitted for certain campground lodging. Late check-in must be arranged 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival. The Toe River Lodge & Campground reserves the right to collect full price for lodging that is un-used due to missing check-in time frame. The Toe River Lodge & Campground will not be held responsible for external fees incurred.

 

 

  • Check-out is before 11:00am. Late check-out must be arranged in advance. There will be a $20 fee incurred for each hour after 12:00pm.

 

 

Toe River Lodge & Campground Pet Policy

 

  • When camping or staying in an RV there are no additional fees and we welcome your pet to enjoy the mountains with you. In this case there are no restrictions on the size but you are limited to three pets. Pets are limited to dogs and cats and both must be kept on a leash or in arms at all times. The Toe River Lodge & Campground reserves the right to remove any pet for improper behavior, including, but not limited to, excessive barking, biting, evidence of disease, or urination or defecation in inappropriate areas. NOTE: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE ALLOW ANY VIOLENT BREEDS OF DOGS ON PROPERTY OR ANY DOGS THAT EXHIBIT VIOLENT BEHAVIOR. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO PIT BULLS, ROTTWEILERS, CHOWS, DOBERMAN PINSCHERS, AND FULL SIZED BOXER BREEDS. YOU ARE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION TO MAKE US AWARE OF YOUR PLANS TO BRING YOUR PET./li>

*The below rules apply to those choosing lodging options other than camping.

 

  • Pets are permitted in our Primitive Yurts & Woodland Cabins for only $15/night per pet(maximum of two). The pet fee includes deep-cleaning of each guesthouse prior to the next guest's arrival. Approved pet spaces include our Primitive Yurts & Woodland Cabins only.

 

 

 

  • Acceptable pets include cats (declawed only) and dogs (non-violent breeds) weighing 45 pounds or less. Animals of any other species are not permitted on property.

 

 

  • The Toe River Lodge & Campground welcomes Service Animals at any time. In this case the weight limit and pet fee do not apply.

 

 

  • Amenities provided for your pet include food and water bowls upon request.

 

 

  • Proper cleanup and disposal of pet waste is required. Pets are not permitted in the main buildings, bath house areas, work-out
room, or any other indoor areas other than your designated guest space.

 

 

  • When outdoors, pets must be on a leash, in a carrier, or held in arms.

 

 

  • Pets are not to be left unattended in a guest space at any time, unless kept in a travel carrier or cage. We do not permit leaving your pet tied up outside of your space without being within 200ft of your space.  Excessive barking will not be permitted.

 

 

  • Pet owners are responsible for any damage to the resort property or guest space.

 

 

Toe River Lodge & Campground Rules & Regulations

As a guest at the Toe River Lodge & Campground, we ask that you please follow certain rules to help ensure everyone has a great time and remains safe. Visitors found in violation of rules may face removal from these facilities, and the possibility of legal action.

 

IMPORTANT RULES FOR ALL CAMPGROUND GUEST

 

You must be 18 years of age or older to register for a campsite or any of our many other lodging options.

 

 

Due to the variety of unique activities found at the Lodge Campground, and the nature of these activities, we require all guests entering the campground property to sign a release form. If you do not sign a release form it is considered trespassing.

 

 

Under no circumstances should anyone enter onto any part of our high ropes, zip-line, or climbing tower structures without being led on an excursion by our professionally trained staff. Parents, please keep an eye on your children and instruct them to stay away from said structures.

 

 

Use common picnic shelters and other day use areas only between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

 

 

A single campsite may be used by up to 4 persons (6 if immediate family) and only 1 vehicles. Additional vehicles beyond one incur additional fees and must be approved prior to arrival.

 

 

Only registered campers are permitted after 10 p.m. If you plan on having visitors they are required to register with campground host and sign release form. Visitor fees may apply.

 

 

Check out is at 11:00am but many times late checkout is allowed if the site is not required for incoming guest.

 

 

The Toe River Lodge & Campground and Plumtree Enterprises, LLC are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.

 

 

Remove all personal property and put your trash in refuse containers when leaving. Recycling is available and we encourage our guest to participate.

 

 

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Turn music down very low or off and refrain from any loud activities or noises. If a neighbor camper is disturbing you, please bring it to the attention of the campground host. Generators (if in primitive area) may be used for a total of no more than 3 hours between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m..

 

 

Pets must always be restrained or on a leash at all times. Pets are not to be left barking or unattended. Owners are responsible for cleaning up waste from their pets.

 

 

Use of fireworks or other explosives is prohibited within campground and other recreation areas. Firing a gun is not permitted under any circumstances.

 

 

Public intoxication is not permitted. Please enjoy alcoholic beverages in moderation and keep beverages in a nondescript plastic cup or other non-breakable container.

 

 

Please do not bring any illegal substances or contraband onto our premises.

 

 

KEEP SITES CLEAN

 

Keep your site clean of all trash. Keep garbage, litter and foreign substances out of our streams and ponds.

 

 

Throw all trash in appropriate cans and recycle bins provided. Please alert the campground host if there is trash that needs immediate attention or any other pertinent sanitation issues.

 

 

Water is for personal use only. Washing cars, boats or RVs is prohibited. Exceptions will be made for seasonal campers with approval of campground manager.

 

 

Do not wash food, clothing, dishes or personal items, or clean fish in restrooms or at water hydrants. Electric cords may not be used in restrooms. Use water faucets for drawing water only.

 

 

Use toilets properly. Do not throw garbage, litter, fish cleanings, or other foreign substances in toilets and plumbing fixtures. We are rural and on septic systems that cannot handle foreign matter or feminine products.

 

 

CAMPFIRE SAFETY

 

Obey restrictions on fires. Fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times.

 

 

Build fires only in fire rings provided for that purpose. Firewood must be small enough to fit inside the fire ring.

 

 

Do not put cans, bottles, plastic, or food waste in fire ring.

 

 

Do not start campfires with gasoline or camping fuel. Keep flammable materials away from campfires.

 

 

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING FIRES UNDER CONTROL.

 

 

Be sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving your site or going to sleep at night.

 

 

Operation of Vehicles

 

Obey all traffic signs and please adhere to speed limit of 5 mph

 

 

When operating vehicles of any kind, do not damage the land or vegetation and please stay on appropriate roads and paths.

 

 

Within campgrounds and other recreation sites, use cars, motorbikes, motorcycles, or other motor vehicles (golf carts excluded) only for entering or leaving. Park only in your designated parking area.

 

 

Do not block, restrict, or interfere with the use of roads or trails.

 

 

Property

 

Do not carve, chop, cut, or damage any live trees.

 

 

Preserve and protect our campground by leaving natural areas the way you found them. Everyone is welcome to play in the creek and with the rocks but please do not take pieces of our property home with you.

 

 

Buildings, structures, or enclosed areas in the campground may be entered only when expressly opened to the public. There are several private residences and work buildings on site, so if you are not sure, it is best not to enter.

 

 

Public Behavior

 

No fighting or boisterous behavior.

 

 

Keep noise at a reasonable level.

 

 

Audio Devices

 

Operate any audio device such as a radio or musical instrument, so that it will not disturb other Campground visitors.
